Death anxiety is the morbid, abnormal, or persistent fear of one’s own death. It manifests itself as a “feeling of dread, apprehension or solicitude when one thinks of the process of dying, or ceasing to ‘be’.

Trowel and Bone aims to help those who suffer from this to understand death from every facet. Understanding and thinking on our inevitable demise grants it a certain level of normalcy. Allowing ourselves to let go and accept that we will one day become a part of the earth is an essential part of living a full life. A good death is an easy death, and we can only achieve that through grasping the unavoidable.

“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”

-Mark Twain
